Sarah N. Fanning, 73, died Thursday, June 19, 2008 in Savannah.

Mrs. Fanning was born on August 18, 1934 in Samson, AL. Sarah was a homemaker and a longtime member of White Bluff United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Fanning was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Fanning; sons, William T. Fanning, Jr., John Allen Fanning and James Edward Fanning. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Ricks of Savannah; daughter-in-law, Susan Fanning; grandchildren, Jessica and Michael Fanning; great granddaughter, DayJah Fanning; brothers, James J. and John Howard Harrison, both of Alabama; sisters-in-law, Barbara Ann Bolen and Mary Olive Pender, both of South Carolina and close friend, Charlie Shephard.

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Saturday at White Bluff United Methodist Church with burial following at Hillcrest Abbey West.
